Ditto…

I thought I was tired last evening. But that wasn’t as bad as tonight. I am exhausted. In fact, it is one of those kinds of tired when you are so worn out, or “bone tired” as they used to say, that you really think you are going to be sick. I am not even going to try and write a long post this evening. I just can’t do it.

So if I think I needed rest last night, it doesn’t begin to describe how I am this evening. The verse for the night is from Exodus 34:21, “Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.” Now I can’t tell you for sure that I have worked six straight days. But I sure feel like it, so I am claiming it!

My encouragement, much the same as last evening, is that God really does care about His children and realizes they need their time off. As tired as I am, though, I really have to hand it to the movers who worked here from 8:15 this morning until 10:45 tonight. Seven men, three trucks and an incredible work ethic. They really need their rest. And they didn’t work as hard as our friend Pat, without whom none of this would have even happened. I love working side by side next to her – she gets it… My prayer this evening is that God will bless the men who were here the last two days and also bless Pat. Our family is off to a great start, but it wouldn’t have happened without dedicated people who stepped up in a spirit of helpfulness and service to see us through. Have a great day in the Lord, grace and peace…
