Janet and I are in Williamsburg this evening and just went through a horrible storm. Trees are uprooted, roads are inaccessible and more than 95,000 homes are without power in the area. So writing and getting this up on the Internet will be next to impossible. I will have to drive around the area until I get a signal and get then get the post uploaded. But just like most evenings, the events of the day have reminded me of God.
Tonight’s verse is about the power of God. While we ponder life without power, probably for several days, we never have to worry about the power going out with God. According to Jude 25, we are told, “to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”
This is one of the most beautiful benedictions in the entire Bible. My encouragement this evening is that you can depend on God for eternal power and eternal light. My prayer is that you may always feel the authority and power of the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ throughout all the months and years of your life. Have a great day in The Lord, grace and peace…
